Crosswater Christian Academy was founded in 1986 with Christ as the cornerstone of its educational and spiritual teaching with excellence across all areas of learning. Kelly Patchen, Academy Principal
With over thirty-three years of experience in early childhood education, Ms. Kelly Patchen brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her role as Principal of Crosswater Christian Academy. She is honored to serve alongside Ms. Faye, Ms. Carolyn, Pastor Josh, and our dedicated teaching staff in a shared mission to partner with families and empower students to live out their God-given purpose.
Ms. Patchen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Education from Seattle University, specializing in Reading and Literacy with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. She also holds certifications in Educational Leadership and Administration.
Her passion lies in nurturing the whole child—mentally, physically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally—through biblically based, play-centered, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Her philosophy is simple yet impactful: provide children with a safe, welcoming environment where they can grow in confidence, build meaningful
relationships, and develop a strong foundation of faith and learning. She is equally devoted to supporting and encouraging her staff as they deliver the highest quality early learning experiences. Ms. Patchen believes deeply in the power of school-family collaboration to create a thriving, Christ-centered learning community.
